Softball Recap: Arkansas Comes Up Short

Arkansas fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Sheridan on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Yellowjackets by a score of 4-2. The Razorbacks were red-hot at the plate heading into the match (they scored no less than ten runs in the three contests prior), but the Yellowjackets' pitchers proved too tough.

Arkansas moved to 14-13 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Sheridan, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.

Arkansas does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sheridan, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Searcy at 5:00 p.m. The Yellowjackets are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
