Soccer Recap: Long Trail Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 2-2 at halftime, Long Trail was not quite Poultney's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 3-2. Long Trail was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Poultney earlier this season, when they won 4-2.

Nevada Bloechle and Maddie Marthage scored both of Long Trail's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 24 goals.

Long Trail's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Poultney, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-5.

Long Trail has already played their next match, a 1-0 win against Sharon Academy on the 9th. As for Poultney, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Arlington Memorial on the 10th.
