Volleyball Recap: Paola Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Paola can now relate to. They fell 2-0 to the Hayden Wildcats on Saturday. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

This is the second loss in a row for Paola and nudges their season record down to 27-10. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 33-1 Andale (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 87.6% over those games). As for Hayden, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 32-9.

Paola wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Clay Center on the 1st. As for Hayden, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Andale on the 1st.
