Mesa has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 70-64 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mountain View Toros. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (63), the Jackrabbits still had to take the loss.

Several Jackrabbits players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jakyi Miles, who posted 21 points and five rebounds. Miles' evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 20 points. Jarren Galarza was another key player, going 5-for-10 en route to 14 points and four steals.
Mesa's defeat dropped their record down to 18-7. As for Mountain View, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season.
