Softball Recap: American Takes a Loss

If American was riding high fresh off their 13-5 takedown of Deer Valley last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles lost 13-0 to the San Leandro Pirates on Monday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

American's defeat was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-7. As for San Leandro, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.

American has already played their next match, a 15-7 loss against Washington on the 25th. As for San Leandro, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Berkeley on the 26th.
