It was a good run, but Newark Central unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They received a blow as they fell 52-35 to the Columbia Cougars. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 67-27 back in January.

Newark Central's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Columbia, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-8 record this season.

Newark Central will head out on the road to take on Caldwell at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Caldwell's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.
