Baseball Recap: Mullen Victorious

On Thursday, the Mullen Mustangs had just enough and edged out the Mount St. Mary Rockets 5-4.

The team relied heavily on Gavin Marsh, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Griffith Dings, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Mullen's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Mount St. Mary, they moved to 8-1 with that loss, which also ended their eight-game winning streak.

Coming up, Mullen will take on Mountain View at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mount St. Mary, they will square off against Green Mountain at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
