Basketball Recap: Evart Beats Manton for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Evart put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Manton Rangers by a score of 55-45. The 55-point effort marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Evart to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aidan Anderson, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten boards. Anderson's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Dakobe White, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.

Evart's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points per game. As for Manton, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Evart Wildcats duke it out with the Brethren Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Manton, they will head out to take on Charlevoix at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
