Soccer Recap: Clearfield Takes a Loss

Clearfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Hollidaysburg Golden Tigers. While losing is never fun, Clearfield can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 480th, while Hollidaysburg are ranked 130th).

Clearfield's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Hollidaysburg, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-2-1 record this season.

Clearfield wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 5-4 defeat against Central on the 15th. As for Hollidaysburg, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Tyrone on the 15th.
