Chuckey-Doak can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They managed a 19-13 win over the Claiborne Bulldogs. For the Black Knights, this counts as revenge for the 39-13 victory the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Chuckey-Doak found their leader in sophomore Kiptyn Ball, who threw for 218 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes.

Despite the loss, Claiborne still got an impressive performance from Aden Roark, who rushed for 107 yards and a pair of scores.

Chuckey-Doak's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-3. As for Claiborne, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Chuckey-Doak and Claiborne could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings. The Black Knights will square off against Volunteer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (307 vs. 122). Meanwhile, Claiborne (ranked 337th) will meet Dobyns-Bennett (ranked 33rd) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
