Baseball Recap: Noxapater Wins Going Away Against French Camp Academy

Noxapater hadn't done well against French Camp Academy recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Noxapater blew past French Camp Academy 17-2. Considering the Tigers have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Braxton Daughtery made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, Noxapater let Logan Sanborn and Brody Joiner run wild. Sanborn scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Joiner scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. Those four stolen bases gave Joiner a new career-high. Brady Ellison was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Noxapater was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .379 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Noxapater's record now sits at 11-2. As for French Camp Academy, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: French Camp Academy beat Noxapater by a score of 15-11 on Friday.
