Football Game Preview: Ocoee Knights vs. Apopka Blue Darters

The Ocoee Knights will square off against the Apopka Blue Darters at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing isn't great for Ocoee: they have been struggling with five straight losses at home dating back to last season, while Apopka has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.

Ocoee is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They strolled past Wekiva with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 25-6. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, Apopka didn't have too much trouble with Mainland on Monday as they won 25-6. The final result isn't all the surprising considering the Blue Darters' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Buccaneers are ranked 214th).

Apopka's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Ocoee, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.

Ocoee barely slipped by Apopka when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 13-12. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Blue Darters have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
