St. Xavier had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Hilliard Darby Panthers. That's more bragging rights for the Bombers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Joe Taggart paced St. Xavier's offense, picking up 18 kills. Taggart got some help from Cam Evans and his 35 assists. Benjamin Soloria controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

St. Xavier's victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Hilliard Darby, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

St. Xavier will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Archbishop Moeller at 12:00 p.m. As for Hilliard Darby, they will take on Thomas Worthington in a tournament on Saturday.
