Basketball Game Preview: Montabella Mustangs vs. Oscoda Owls

After both having extra time off, the Montabella Mustangs and the Oscoda Owls will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Montabella took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Friday. It was close, but they ultimately received the gift of a 51-48 victory from a begrudging Mustangs squad. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since January 29th.

Meanwhile, Oscoda earned a 46-37 victory over Posen two weeks ago.

Montabella's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Oscoda, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
