Volleyball Recap: Grafton Bearcats vs. North Marion Huskies        
        
		
             Grafton was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight  defeat. They fell just short of the North Marion Huskies by a score of  2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bearcats of the  2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in September of 2023.
 In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Grafton sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-17, 20-25,  27-25.
 Grafton's loss  came despite strong showings from  Liya Clemm and  Rory Stevens.  Clemm  had 20  digs, while  Stevens  had six  digs. Clemm is  on a roll when it comes to  digs, as she's  now  had five or more in the last three games she's  played dating back to last season.
 Grafton now  has a losing record at 3-4. As for North Marion,  the  win snapped their losing streak at eight games  dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-5 record.
 Coincidentally,  both  will both be playing Robert C. Byrd the next time they take the court. North Marion will  host Robert C. Byrd at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday, while Grafton will play them later in the day, at 6:00  p.m.
