After having lost a blowout in their previous game against New Glarus, Waterloo was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Poynette Pumas, sneaking past 2-1. The win continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Pumas: they've now won three in a row.

Waterloo's record now sits at 4-5. As for Poynette, they now have a losing record of 5-6-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waterloo will welcome Wisconsin Heights at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vanguards will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
