Basketball Game Preview: Springfield Tigers vs. Jackson-Milton Bluejays

Having just played yesterday, the Springfield Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Jackson-Milton Bluejays at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Springfield will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Springfield didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Lowellville, but they still walked away with a 46-41 win.

Meanwhile, Jackson-Milton ended up a good deal behind Lowellville on Saturday and lost 52-36. The Bluejays have struggled against the Rockets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the defeat, Jackson-Milton saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Emma Johns went 7 for 13 en route to 17 points and six rebounds. Amani Yasin was another key player, putting up ten points and six assists.

Springfield's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-7. As for Jackson-Milton, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.

Springfield took their win against Jackson-Milton in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 60-34. In that contest, Springfield amassed a halftime lead of 32-9, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Wednesday.
