Softball Recap: Davis Sr. Has No Trouble Against River City

Davis Sr.'s game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They were the clear victor by an 8-1 margin over the River City Raiders. This was payback for the Blue Devils, who suffered a 7-5 loss the last time these two teams met.

Molly Roseen made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only a hit over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kaytlin LeBar-Triepke, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Isabella Trask was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.

Davis Sr. was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as River City only posted a batting average of .091.

Franklin will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Davis Sr. surely won't give up without a fight. As for River City, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Del Oro at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
