Soccer Recap: Brewer Comes Up Short

Brewer lost to Weatherford back in December of 2020 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bears lost 7-1 to the Kangaroos. While losing is never fun, Brewer can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 375th, while Weatherford are ranked 63rd).

Brewer now has a losing record of 4-5-1. As for Weatherford, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-0-1.

Brewer and Weatherford will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Bears will take on rival Aledo at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Weatherford is set to challenge their familiar foe Crowley at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
