Baseball Recap: West Franklin Continues Home Dominance on Monday

West Franklin's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They blew past the Lyndon Tigers 14-2. Considering the Falcons have won five matchups by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

West Franklin got a massive performance out of Zeek Dowd, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave Dowd a new career-high. Gunnar McMahan was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and one double.

West Franklin pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Lyndon, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 1-10-2 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: West Franklin beat Lyndon by a score of 16-1 later that day.
