Preview: Lebanon vs. Rolla
On Friday Rolla take on Lebanon at Lebanon HS at 7:00 PM. Rolla are coming into the match hot, having won four in a row.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Rolla ultimately got the result it was hoping for last Friday. They managed a somewhat close 34-28 victory over Waynesville. No one put up better numbers for Rolla than senior Trey Quick, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 294 yards and 3 touchdowns. This marked the 4th matchup in which Quick has rushed for over 100 yards.
Lebanon came within a touchdown against Camdenton, but wound up with a 28-35 loss. This makes it the second defeat in a row for Lebanon.
Rolla's win lifted them to 5-1 while Lebanon's loss dropped them down to 4-2. If Rolla want to win, Rolla will need to focus on stopping Lebanon's senior Jayden Ivey, who rushed for 96 yards and 1 touchdown, and junior Quameire Wright, who picked up 154 yards on the ground. We'll see whether or not they are up to the challenge.
