Soccer Recap: Livermore Comes Up Short

Livermore was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 4-0 to the Monte Vista Mustangs. The Cowboys were probably out for revenge after losing 4-1 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Livermore's loss dropped their record down to 2-11-1. As for Monte Vista, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-3-3.

Livermore and Monte Vista could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Livermore will face off against Granada at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday down 328 places (605 vs. 277). Meanwhile, Monte Vista (ranked 179th) will meet San Ramon Valley (ranked 39th) at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
