Daphne faced Montgomery Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Trojans walked away with  a   2-0  win over the Eagles. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Trojans.
 Ella Lomax paced Daphne's offense, picking up 18 kills. Lomax got some help from  Anna Grace Chason and her 12 assists. Lomax and  Chason didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with two apiece.
 Despite the loss, Montgomery Academy still got an impressive performance from   Kaci Armistead, who  had 14  digs and one assist. Armistead is  on a roll when it comes to  digs, as she's  now  had 13 or more in each of the last nine games she's  played.
Daphne's victory bumped their record up to 34-18. As for Montgomery Academy,  the  loss snapped their winning streak at five matches  and leaves them with a 37-6 record.
 Daphne didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  2-0  defeat against McGill-Toolen on the 11th. As for Montgomery Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  matchup,  a  3-0  win against Percy Julian on the 15th.
