Basketball Game Preview: Ferndale Golden Eagles vs. Burlington-Edison Tigers

The Ferndale Golden Eagles will take on the Burlington-Edison Tigers at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Tuesday, Ferndale beat Sehome 55-42. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Golden Eagles.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Burlington-Edison). They snuck past Lakewood with a 95-89 win on Monday.

Ferndale pushed their record up to 8-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Burlington-Edison, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-5.

Ferndale came up short against Burlington-Edison in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 61-53. Can Ferndale avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
