Windermere had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They had just enough and edged the Lake Howell Silverhawks out 3-2. This was payback for the Wolverines, who suffered a 6-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Yomar Infante looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Randy Ruiz, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Fraynder Albornez, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Windermere didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 7-1 win against Mount Dora Christian Academy on the 12th. As for Lake Howell, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 4-1 victory against Oviedo on the 13th.
