Volleyball Recap: Tuscola Comes Up Short

Tuscola lost against Shelbyville back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Warriors fell 2-0 to the Rams.

Lilly Kurtz paced Tuscola's offense, picking up eight kills. Kurtz got some help from Sicily Moss and her nine assists. Finally, Kurtz was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Shelbyville was led to victory by Brooklyn Lynch and Tailyn Hancock. Lynch had 12 digs and three assists, while Hancock had ten digs. Lynch is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Tuscola has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season. As for Shelbyville, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-8.

Coincidentally, Tuscola and Shelbyville will both be playing Clinton the next time they take the court. The Warriors will head out to face the Maroons at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Rams will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
