Basketball Recap: Coronado Takes a Loss

Coronado was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 64-33 loss at the hands of the East Mountain Timberwolves. The Leopards were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-13.

Jodie Tillman continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for East Mountain, dropping a double-double with 29 points and 15 rebounds. The match was Tillman's third in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Evelyn Kannolt, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine boards.

Coronado's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for East Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 7-15.

Coronado wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 61-21 defeat against Pine Hill on the 15th. As for East Mountain, they will face off against Cottonwood Classical Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
