Soccer Recap: Hoke County Takes a Loss

Hoke County lost against Pinecrest back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bucks fell 2-0 to the Patriots. While losing is never fun, Hoke County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 341st, while Pinecrest are ranked 87th).

Hoke County's loss dropped their record down to 7-13-1. As for Pinecrest, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5-1 record this season.

Hoke County will square off against Union Pines at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Union Pines will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Hoke County surely won't give up without a fight. Pinecrest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
