Basketball Recap: Oak Mountain Academy Beats Central Christian for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Oak Mountain Academy had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They walked away with a 52-45 victory over the Central Christian Crusaders. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Warriors' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 227th, while the Crusaders are ranked 468th).

Oak Mountain Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryson Dickey, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 17 boards. Dickey has also also been stellar as far as field goal percentage is concerned: he's posted one of at least 48% every time he's hit the court this season. Ole Seehars was another key player, going 5-for-11 on his way to 11 points along with six assists and five steals.

Oak Mountain Academy's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Central Christian, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Looking ahead, Oak Mountain Academy will welcome Lafayette Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Central Christian, they will challenge Trinity Christian School of Griffin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
