Basketball Recap: Temple Baptist Has No Trouble Against Lake Lure Classical Academy

Temple Baptist won the last time they faced Lake Lure Classical Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Temple Baptist Eagles strolled past the Lake Lure Classical Academy Raptors with points to spare, taking the game 49-33.

Despite the defeat, Lake Lure Classical Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Landry Mize posted 19 points and five rebounds. That was a full 57.6% of Lake Lure Classical Academy's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of London Camp, who earned five points and six boards.

Temple Baptist's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Lake Lure Classical Academy, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-10 record.

Temple Baptist will take on Veritas Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Veritas Christian Academy will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Temple Baptist surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lake Lure Classical Academy, they will challenge Carolina Day at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lake Lure Classical Academy is facing Carolina Day at the right time seeing as Carolina Day is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
