Soccer Recap: Schenck Comes Up Short

Schenck fell victim to Easton and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 3-0 to the Bears. While losing is never fun, Schenck can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine soccer rankings (they are ranked 95th, while Easton are ranked 26th).

Schenck has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season. As for Easton, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Schenck will venture away from home to take on Penquis Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Easton, they will host Maine School of Science & Math at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Easton will be up against Maine School of Science & Math's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.86 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
