Baseball Recap: Austin Comes Up Short

Austin came into this matchup off a tough 12-run loss last Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Providence Pioneers by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 11-1 to the Pioneers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Austin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Providence, the win (which was their tenth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 2-0.

Coming up, Austin will take on Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Providence, they will square off against Silver Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
