Baseball Recap: Ramsay Extends Winning Streak to Four

Ramsay won against Central on Monday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Ramsay Rams beat the Central Falcons by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 10-9. Winning may never get old, but the Rams sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Ramsay got a great performance from Gavin Franklin as he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Zion Rice was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted over his last eight matches. Armani Rogers was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3.

Ramsay was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Ramsay's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 6-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ramsay will square off against Moody at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Hale County at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
