Softball Preview: East Jessamine Jaguars vs. Mercer County Titans        
        
		
            
 East Jessamine is 9-1 against Mercer County since April of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Friday. The East Jessamine Jaguars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mercer County Titans at 6:00  p.m. Given that  both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this  contest.
 Things were looking good for East Jessamine after they put the first points on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Woodford County by a score of  6-5. That's two games in a row now that East Jessamine has lost by  just one  run.
  Natalie Alimento was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 2-for-4 with a  home run, two  RBI,  and a  double.  Emily Searcy was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Mercer County was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight  defeat. They lost  12-4 to West Jessamine.
 This is  the second loss in a row for East Jessamine and  nudges their season record down to 15-11. As for Mercer County, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10.
 East Jessamine was able to grind out a solid  win over Mercer County when the teams last played  last Tuesday, winning  8-4. Will East Jessamine repeat their success,  or does  Mercer County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
