Softball Recap: Westerville South Takes a Loss

After flying high against Whetstone on Thursday, Westerville South came back down to earth. The Wildcats lost 19-6 to the Westerville Central Warhawks on Monday. The Wildcats have struggled against the Warhawks recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Maci Minister was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Laynie Gibbs, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Westerville South's defeat dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Westerville Central, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Westerville South has already played their next contest (against Dublin Coffman), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Westerville Central, they will be playing at home against Canal Winchester at 5:00 p.m. on the 21st.
