Compton was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 338 rushing yards. They are a perfect 3-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

One reason for the win was Compton's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. Ameir Jones was especially locked on to Cabrillo's QB and sacked him twice. Jones has become a key player for Compton: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least one sack, but 1-2 otherwise.

Woodrow Wilson's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Compton, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Woodrow Wilson has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 191 rushing yards per game.
