Baseball Recap: Denair Takes a Loss

Denair was the 10-2 winner over Delhi when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Coyotes fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Coyotes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kaden Prine spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on three hits and racked up 12 Ks. He has been consistent : he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Denair saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Lundquist, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.

Denair's loss dropped their record down to 7-7-1. As for Delhi, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-7.

While Denair had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
