Volleyball Recap: Bunker Takes a Loss

If Bunker was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Lesterville on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles fell 2-0 to the Ellington Whippets on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-13.

Bunker has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13-2 record this season. As for Ellington, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-3-1.

Looking ahead, Bunker will venture away from home to square off against Clearwater at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ellington has already played their next matchup (against South Iron), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
