Softball Recap: Radford Takes a Loss

Radford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They came up short against the Alleghany Cougars, falling 17-1. If the Bobcats were looking for revenge after losing 8-7 to the Cougars when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Radford saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaydence Rollins, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Radford's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Alleghany, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-3.

Looking ahead, Radford will challenge Blacksburg at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Alleghany, they will take on Patrick County at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Alleghany's pitchers better be ready for this one: Patrick County has averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season.
