Softball Recap: Lapeer Takes a Loss

Lapeer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Davison Cardinals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lightning of the 10-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Lapeer saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jadin Hill, who went 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Kaylee Whitney was another, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Lapeer's defeat dropped their record down to 9-17. As for Davison, their victory bumped their record up to 3-9.

While Lapeer had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
