Softball Recap: Wednesday's Victory Is Manalapan's Fifth in Last Six Outings

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Monmouth Regional, Manalapan was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Shore Regional Blue Devils by a score of 14-10. While the Braves didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Manalapan has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Shore Regional, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-2.

Manalapan will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Raritan at 10:00 a.m. The Rockets are coming into the game with three straight wins at home, so the Braves will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for Shore Regional, they will square off against Long Branch at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. The Green Wave have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.5 runs per game on average), something the Blue Devils will no doubt try to take advantage of.
