Soccer Game Preview: Granger vs. Wahluke

The Granger Spartans are taking a road trip to take on the Wahluke Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Granger is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They never let La Salle get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for Granger as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Wahluke had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 goals) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Scots by a score of 2-0.

Wahluke's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for Granger, their victory bumped their record up to 3-9.

Granger might still be hurting after the 5-1 defeat they got from Wahluke when the teams last played back in March of 2018. Can the Spartans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
