Marshall waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Owls who were credited with the win. The Marshall Owls got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Battle Spartans's three. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Marshall also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Marshall's victory bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Battle, with the loss, they broke their four-match winning streak and moved their record to 7-3.
