Softball Recap: Mena Takes a Loss

Mena lost to Waldron back in March and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bearcats lost 16-6 to the Bulldogs. The Bearcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jayden Cox made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Another player making a difference was Ashlyn Short, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Mena's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Waldron, they pushed their record up to 3-14 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Mena will venture away from home to take on Booneville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Waldron, they will host Elkins at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
