Spring Valley has gone 6-0-1 against South Charleston recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Timberwolves will be playing at home against the Black Eagles at 8:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

South Charleston will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Spring Valley extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Timberwolves were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Lincoln County. The Timberwolves not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 16th (when they won 3-0).

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Spring Valley took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-13, 25-9.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but South Charleston had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Big Blacks as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

South Charleston was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-17, 25-19.

Spring Valley better focus on containing Bella Anderson and Aliana Ashworth as the pair were huge in South Charleston's win. Anderson had 12 digs, while Ashworth had seven digs and four assists. Those four assists gave Ashworth a new career-high.

South Charleston was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in four consecutive matchups.

Spring Valley's win bumped their record up to 32-12-7. As for South Charleston, their victory bumped their record up to 23-20-2.
