Basketball Recap: St. Patrick Academy Comes Up Short on the Road Against Toll Gate

St. Patrick Academy kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They were outmatched by the Toll Gate Titans and fell 81-41. The Padres were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-19.

Toll Gate had a senior duo take command as Jack Colvin went 6 of 10 from beyond the arc en route to 21 points and Liam Leahy went 5 for 6 on his way to 14 points. The dominant performance gave Colvin a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Goodine, who posted eight points.

St. Patrick Academy will venture away from home to square off against Hope at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Toll Gate will take on Achievement First Providence in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
