Baseball Recap: Foundation Academy Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Foundation Academy can now relate to. They came up short against the Santa Fe Catholic Hawks on Thursday, falling 9-1. The Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hawks earlier this season, when they won 4-2.

Foundation Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jose Taveras, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Foundation Academy has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 19-10 record this season. As for Santa Fe Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Foundation Academy nor Santa Fe Catholic have any future games scheduled.
