Soccer Recap: Mount Tabor Victorious

Mount Tabor kept a clean sheet against First Flight on Saturday. They came out on top against the Nighthawks by a score of 2-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Mount Tabor were the better team in the second half.

Sloane Whalen and Sophie Wyshner scored both of Mount Tabor's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

The win made it two in a row for Mount Tabor and bumps their season record up to 8-2-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored six goals over those two matches. As for First Flight, they moved to 10-2 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mount Tabor will welcome Parkland at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Mount Tabor are facing Parkland at the right time seeing as Parkland are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for First Flight, they will look to defend their home pitch on Monday against Northeastern at 5:00 p.m.
