Basketball Game Preview: Lincolnview Lancers vs. Allen East Mustangs

Two dominant guards in Keira Breese and Rilynn Jones are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Lincolnview Lancers will square off against the Allen East Mustangs at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Lincolnview has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Last Tuesday, Lincolnview humbled St. John's with a 64-26 victory. Given the Lancers' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 289th, while the Bluejays are ranked 675th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Allen East unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 49-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bluffton.

Allen East's loss ended an 11-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 15-4. As for Lincolnview, their win bumped their record up to 11-8.

Lincolnview came up short against Allen East when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 44-35. Can Lincolnview avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
