Baseball Recap: North Pole Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with West Valley

North Pole faced West Valley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Patriots came up short against the Wolf Pack, falling 16-9. The Patriots have struggled against the Wolf Pack recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

North Pole got a massive performance out of Danny Kostov, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Caleb Korhonen was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one triple.

North Pole's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for West Valley, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-9.

Coming up, North Pole will host Delta at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for West Valley, they will head out on the road to challenge Lathrop at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
